I would not use that. I use these, which I'm surprised to see on Amazon now

Yes! I bough a set from Stew Mac ($$) that look virtually identical to this set that cardinal posted. I would not hesitate one bit to buy a less expensive set of nut files. I won't slot as many nut blanks in my lifetime as a busy shop will do in a week. So a cheaper' set of nut files fills the bill for an individual as opposed to a busy luthier.

Dedicated nut slotting files have a rounded bottom like the letter 'U' as opposed to a square or worse yet sharp 'V' bottom that will cause 99% of all string binding at the nut.

Learning how to get just the right amount of downward slope or 'ramp' off the back of the nut to the tuning post is a bit of trial and error, but it is really satisfying to slot your own nut and have the guitar hold tune like a Floyd.

I just took one of mine to a local tech to have him do it. If I were to do it, I would definitely get the proper tools. He always said he would let me borrow his files if I needed them, but I just let him do it. He's doing it every week, so he has the touch.

If you're just enlarging you can probably get away with those nozzle cleaner kits for like 10 bucks. Worked fine for me anyways. No binding.

thanks, guys!
btw after fill nut for they 6x 60 gauge string, when later I want use 56 there, there will be okay for it and tuning ?
