That's what I mean- I wish the stores (GC really) kept more of the stuff in stock. I might get a Rebel 30 2 X 12, but I am not gonna do it on the basis of a Youtube video. I know I can return it, but what a pain in the neck. I also don't want to wait to get if once I make up my mind.

They only stock what flies out the door, but something doesn't get the chance to fly out the door if they don't stock it!

I have the Renegade head and i use it with my old 60's Marshall 4x12 w/original Greenbacks. It's like the perfect match.Honeymoon for ever ..  It just keeps getting better & better.... (room for improvement for the fan & reverb). What amazes me is the sound quality at really low volumes !That was a complete surprise for me.Of course, guitar rock music w/tube amps has to be played loud enough if you wanna go to "orgasmic territory" or sonic nirvana ;) but it's not always possible...

That's great Viking....I am sure that your rig sounds fantastic!!

I know there have been a lot of people complaining about fan noise and reverb on the Renegade, but I am not one of them. My fan noise is a whisper even when not playing and my reverb sounds great (set low) for both channels.

Normally, I set my channel 1 gain from 10 - 12 o'clock with the reverb set to about 9 - 10 o'clock......sounds fantastic. There are times when I set the gain to 3 - 4 o'clock in channel 1 for a crunch rhythm sound. Admittedly, in these settings the reverb can sound bad when set high. However, I normally do not wish to add a lot of reverb in these higher gain settings of channel 1....so no problem as far as I am concerned.

In Channel 2, I have my reverb setting very low regardless of gain settings (8 - 9 o'clock). I haven't found the reverb in Channel 2 to be a problem at all, but I judiciously kick it in and out during a particular song, and always have it set very low in Ch2. I find that it enhances my sound in Ch2 when set very low when I choose to use it.

Bottom line, reverb set sparingly in both channels offers a very nice touch when desired.....set high in either channel does not sound very good....especially with gain set high. Not a flaw by Egnater IMO.

With mine, the reverb's problems are only related to channel volume (high) and, thus, mainly on Ch1.And i only noticed it after it was described here. Not a big deal. But if there was something to improve,it would be the fan (not a big deal either but,in studio, you hear it) and the Reverb (i love very good reverb ! :) ).Of course,a silent record, like in the Rebel30,would be nice...

You are correct. The only time I have had a "reverb issue" with the amp was with the channel volume(s) set high. This was my mistake from my previous post. However, I tend to set my master volume at noon and keep both of my channel volumes set no higher than noon and do not experience bad sounds from the reverb in either channel with the reverb(s) set moderately and the channel volumes set no higher than 12 o'clock.

Thanks for your clarification.

4x10 FTW!
4x10 FTW indeed. Not too many stores stock the 4x10, but everyone who plays one seems to fall in love with it.
How much does the 4x10 combo weigh? I would love to order one (have a head now & 2x12) but not sure I can carry it? Thanks
