Here's the rough of what I'm working on with Dave Weckl and Ric Fierabracci, much more like a live Jam band for the first time.
first tune in the player Monkey Bowl Utility Scratch https://www.myspace.com/eddegenaro
or the whole enchilada at

My homage to Zappa and McLaughlin.
And yes it is way over the top...

Damn solid trio there, you and Nix going to have a rumble of the trios??? :D

Very cool how you came in at :24.

I like the drummers feel, solid not not crushing. I dig it.

Well it s Dave Weckl. :)
As for the rumble, I think my next one will be way more over the top then Chris'.

Dude... I'm still listening as I type, but I just have to say that this is top notch. Absolutely stellar. The playing and particularly how you and the other players approached this as a piece are so cool to me. Great tones as well. I'd put this piece up there with anything from anybody releasing guitar oriented instrumental music... It is that good IMO... Just great work...

I have to be honest and say that I had a really hard time with your CD... I just couldn't get a handle on where the music was really going from tune to tune, but this I really dig...

Again... just awesome man. I'm blown away... BTW - you said this is a rough, but I honestly can't see what you could do to improve it, except to make the bass sound an little richer and more prominent in the mix... Of course that could just be these crap speakers...

Lets call it a learning experience, the last batch of tunes I'd written for Dog House I really dig, but I really hate the older stuff I had o there. But I had to get off my hard drive.
One thing I do dig is that you call it like you see it. Thanks. I really am happy how this one is turning out. And it feels sooo good having a burning rhythm section. I was thinking of getting some other folks involved like Anton Fig, but after those 2 hit it so out o the ball park in terms of group improv feel I think I will be back for more. :)

Guitar tones, first third is Flexi and Deliverance, the solo that doubles the chessy guitar synth solo is Spider Valve, and the last section is again D60 and Flexi.
As for the mix, the levels are all over the place, and the parts aren't placed well in the stereo spectrum. Plus the cheasy guitar synth lead wll become a vibes part. Thanks for checking it out.

When I saw rough I was not expecting what I heard, sounds very polished already and the bass and drums are still blowing me away.

I like it. This kind of stuff is fun to listen to. There are some cool chord stabs about 2/3 the way in, kinda like Gongzilla.

Yeah I think its track one on Suffer. I love that CD! You are doing some leads, then chord stabs, drum interplay etc...I like that kind of stuff. Sounds good!

Thanks....that's my "wanna be 70s Miles thing with 80s shred seinsibility". :)

Ed I think it sounds good. Much different from Dog House but not in a bad way. It almost sounds like something Jeff Beck would do. What's the release date for this one?

Also I took the Dog House type of material as far as I could, and gigged a lot. Time for some old fashioned burning as a band. :)
