The age old question that would set TGP ablaze. Does Floyd Rose on a Les Paul ruin its tone in your opinion?

Yeah, I wouldn't put one on a vintage one, but my 2018 tribute is at my tech right now getting a new bone nut cut. He said he tried everything else. If that doesn't work, I'm throwing a Floyd on that fucker for sure!!!

I used to be dead set against it, but I’d love to have one in my arsenal.

Brag Gillis did it. Neil Schon did it. I read that Gibson released a Neil Schon Les Paul along time ago with a Floyd on it but I've never seen one so I don't know if that's accurate.

I have always wanted a Floyd on Les Paul, just haven't gotten around to it. I wouldn't do it on anything Vintage or anything made before the 2000's that was in tip top shape. I would put it on a road worn Les Paul in a heartbeat.

I've evertuned 2 Gibsons. Not vintage ones or my silverburst though. Don't regret it at all. Gibsons that stay in tune are FUN.

I‘d love to rock one of these, but not for $5k+.

Plenty of other great guitars you can get a Floyd on. Les Paul is a Les Paul. Great as is. Just my opinion.

I used to be opposed to it, but i really want one. I had a chance to buy a trad pro II with a floyd from someone here a few years ago and ended up passing on it. I've been kicking myself about that for awhile now as prices on them have gotten stupid. Waiting on finding the right deal on one and I'll scoop it up. And drop hot pickups in it and hot rod the floyd with an fu-tone block and titanium inserts.
