I was really concerned when I saw that for sale post, since the OP haven't posted much lately, and I didn't have a good feeling when he was asking for Venmo or Zelle only. I should've told moderators right away.

Well on reverb they cover you if you buy something or something get damaged in shipping.....more shit flows from these boards anymore.....they used to be so cool but don't know what changed with them....members just aren't the same anymore...people don't communicate about shipping or receiving items ....don't pack stuff well,etc

Which is why I said due diligence on all/both parties is fundamental, and to start from there.
Reverb, eBay, PP won't protect a seller worth a shit. A one sided system is just that.

Would have to say you are wrong in my experience....I've had several items on ebay and reverb get damaged or issues with shipping and they covered...a.couple took some time but in the end I got my money and that's what's important....and you can't due diligence when people don't communicate...its just not worth the aggrivation....too many other outlets to get decent gear at decent prices now

I agree with the apprehension to buy, or sell, online anymore.
I recently (FINALLY!) found my grail delay, after trying several over the last 2-3 years.
Some of the new ones were only used for a day or so, and then went on a shelf. Some of the previously used ones that I had to actively "seek out" for a few weeks / months, are also now on a shelf. My natural reaction is to pass them on to a buyer that can use them, but there is just too much bullshit going on right now.
Online sites threatening to report your tax info to the government, all of the sites collectively wanting bigger and bigger chunks of the sale, etc.....
And, PP FF has gotten dangerous to use, unless you truly know the buyer / seller, so now THAT is a risk..

I guess there is still CL, but then you have wackos emailing with offers of $10, on a brand new Boss SDE3000D........but at least if you can agree on a price, they will have cash in hand....or try to jack you at the meeting location
