This deal here is EXACTLY why I only deal with my bros or those that are known entities on this forum.
And why I have just sat on my hoard of gear instead of cashing in.
Seller should have known to contact buyer when he couldn't ship right away. Period.
And I seriously considered buying this. Glad I didn't. And I won't trust this seller for shit since he is making excuses instead of admitting his fault.
Amen to that! I realize we don't actually know each other but I'd be willing to say I've never screwed anyone on this forum or made excuses. Trying to be a "bro" so I continue to deal here in good faith but a healthy dose of skepticism

I would never ever want to make any situation worse - only want to make things better. I love this forum. I’ve never personally met anyone on here, but I love the vibe, love the energy. With eBay and Reverb such complete sh*t-shows these days, this forum seems to be the last tiny island of good folks trying to get clean gear to one another at fair prices. Not looking for praise or sympathy, but I for one can relate to having a job where - literally - I can be yanked away from my kitchen counter with max 60 minutes notice and I’m out for 48 hrs. When that happens, my concerns are: 1) my S.O.S. call for my dogs; and 2) what sort of sh*t will I see in the next 48 hrs that I can’t unsee for the rest of my life. I would NEVER short or cheat a forum member, but no offense - that piece of gear that needs to get to Fed-X is on the ‘list’ somewhere behind thing #1 and thing #2.

If this Fractal arrives in as advertised condition I really hope this thread gets buried in the Classified form under dozens (hundreds?) of smooth transactions.
You know what man I get that. Maybe this dude is a first responder or military or....CIA?? Yes selling gear on RT is not a super high priority but it still is a responsibility that seller commits to once cash is received. Maybe the lesson here is buyers should post a disclaimer like "I have a job or schedule that could delay my shipping and communication on short notice" No communication is shit

I 100% agree with communication, but seriously - 2 days isn't the end of the world. Would i be pissed I thought i was ghosted? Sure would

But what if the guy works in a trauma ER, or is a Doc, was lineman working overnights to get power back on, or got sent as some emergency response in the reserves or something?
There can be a FEW legit reasons for 48 hours of non communication... just saying.

Agreed not sure of his situation BUT you can't find 5 mins to whip out your phone and send a quick note? Hell most people spend AT LEAST 5 mins looking at their phone on the shitter (myself included). If it was a $50 pedal, sure. $1700 rack gear, you gotta try to answer bro

He paid for it Sunday, when everything is closed. I encountered an emergency at work Monday and Tuesday and wasn’t able to ship, and he wants to act pissy about that?

It has been shipped and tracking information has been provided.
YOU HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO LET BUYER KNOW OF ALL DELAYS!!!!! It’s pathetic you act like the buyer should just wait around for you to communicate after a sale! The day you knew you were unable to ship quickly…. YOU should have sent a message explaining the issue.

All good. Appreciate the support from those who showed it. I did ask seller to cancel the transaction but he went thru with shipping it anyways so....whatev

Yep you sure got me there! Truth is I haven't had time to even open the box. Isn't that annoying when people take their sweet ass time to respond, especially when $ is involved? Ya know, my job, my schedule. The nerve! ;)

As far as my job and schedule, YOU and your type are exactly what’s wrong with our society. You fail to comprehend that anything exists outside of your reality and have no empathy for it. Completely selfish and self-serving. You are so deep in your own little world and echo chamber that you have zero comprehension of any career that could remove one from modern communications for a brief period of time. I owe you no explanation beyond that, and only owed you the product you paid for, which was delivered in a prompt manner.

Gotcha! Just proving a point. Just to add, not trying to be spiteful. If it indeed checks out to be healthy, i will absolutely close this case but I think this absolutely drives home my original point. Love all the immediate communication now. Keep it up ;)
