For the Eclipse today…

I was in totality in Northern Ohio. It was the coolest nature event that I have ever witnessed.

When it turned to darkness it was amazing

We only had about 80% here but approximately 7 years ago we had a total eclipse and that was quite spectacular. We went up to a park called Lake Winfield-Scott here in the Southern Appalachians and it was not crowded or anything. Shadows looked weird, especially of tree canopies and during the totality nature went quiet and then crickets started chirping, very surreal.

My kids still thought it was cool to see what we could see this time. I thought it was clever to play “Black Sun” by Dead Can Dance on my garage stereo but now my vietnam vet neighbor thinks I’m a weirdo.

never listened to dark side in full?? damn, i remember doing that my first time in like 6th or 7th grade with my expensive headphones, that shit put me in a hypnotic like trance ive never experienced before or since.
