I compared my Randall Grail to my Egnater Erect and they are in the same ballpark....very similar tones. Of course the Egnater is better, but for the price difference, if one were on a budget, the Randall can get you close.
As for the original Recto module, which didn't have a very good reputation, I believe it can be modded to be the same specs as the Grail. FWIW.

Yeah, thanks. I'm going to put the 0.001 orange drop caps and a 150 ohm R1 resistor in it...should do the trick.
