Forgotten, overlooked, 2nd hand undervalued amps.......

This sounds stupid but the older Micro Cube with an 8 inch speaker.......

Those things have tone for days and you can mic it up to a PA and no one would know you don't have a Princeton or Deluxe Reverb or Mesa/Marshall or something like that...... Also can be had for a song 2nd hand and just a great sounding amp, portable and so useful despite being mass produced and digital.

Vintage COSM ain't bad

I picked one up a little over a month ago. Was going to do a few simple mods on it, but I'm liking it too much as is so I'm gonna leave it alone.

Crate Stealth gets overlooked.
Mesa Calibur series is pretty good
Honestly for the price..... now these are a stupid good value especially for a combo version.... hmmm. Top 3 in that sense for sure. Maybe would have to say Carvin V3, 6150/6150+ MIA and Marshall Vintage Modern in top 3 undervalued amps with a JSX making it close but could be considered a top 3 undervalued amp easily as well.

Good stuff ^_^

Out of the three mentioned above though would have to say top 2 would be Marshall Vintage Modern and a Peavey 6150/6150+ MIA...... Hard to say which one is number 1 out of those two for the price in the market but either one could be considered a top #1 undervalued amp in the used market right now IMO.

I saw a 5150 and 6505 both in a secondhand store here in Japan this week for 400-500 bucks each… honestly not something I need with an uber. Almost bit though because the price was good.

I’d say any late 90s early 2000s Peavey tube amp that James Brown had a hand in designing. Ultra Plus, Ranger 212, Prowler, etc.

Peavey Classic 20/30/50/100 and Delta Blues

Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket.

Zinky Blue Velvet & Fender Prosonic

Fender Tone Master (OG).

Mesa Stiletto - they are up for sale for around £1k here in the UK and sit for ages. The vid below (not mine) is a great review with some (to my ears) good tones.

I'm a sucker for the Krank Chadwick. I've had the 2 channel version and currently still have the single channel version with the mercury magnetics transformer. It needs a bit of volume, but sounds pretty good when dialed in. There's usually a couple floating around the internet for sale and they are generally pretty cheap for what you get.
