It was interesting to see how little gain some of the dudes used.

Yup. One of them even mentioned dialling it back to retain bottom end.

For recording it's almost always best to dial it back a tad from what you're used to playing "solo"... IMHO. Better for the mix.

I wonder if I put lots of amps in a room, and put a blind fold on, and played each amp.... I can bet you I'd walk out with a brand I thought I hated...

Meritocracy of sound \m/

This is a cool vid, buncha amp designers dial in random amps and then try to guess which one is theirs "blind". Pretty cool to see some of these guys get stumped.

That's an awsome video. I'd love if they threw in a few curve ball cheap amps and modellers. Imagine if they all preferred something like the Joyo Zombie over a 6k amp

Hey Krull
did you get a life already? Maybe an amp? Or any kind of gear so you can talk about it?
So far, the only thing you have is Mike's cock and two balls in your mouth the whole time.
If you don't show up with any gear, or if you still can talk gear in a good way with other people here, you're just proving you're nothing but a loser, who got nothing, and who is nothing.
But that's ok too, losers are everywhere, so it's understandable that Rig Talk is not an exception.
Now, gear or just keep on shitting?

Larry, maybe you'd be willing to coordinate something with Synergy amps and make a Dino module or something? HAHA
But really, that would be sick!

Who says?

And no, this isn't a dino-ish circuit. No DINO tightness, too spongy and too squishy ;)

This is about the tightness of my Rock Wizard, what is more forgivingly by sloppy playing than the DINO's or the PMM

Do Larry's have that god awful klank to them? :aww:

I think Mr Tapp should join the conversation.

Edit: I will say I actually love how that is reversible here towards the end when he rolls back the dials a bit and it sounds much better there but man..... when that thing is maxed out....It just sounds so bad, I can't understand how people can like that tone. I guess 8 strings and messuggah or whatever

sounds incredibly tight after 4:00.
Yes that's tight and most of the guitar players are absolutely pleased with this grade of tightness...

... most, but not all. And some of the few, which aren't pleased enough maybe are considering a DINO or a PMM?

Indeed I agree.

The modded Marshall is sounding way better than any Fortin modded Marshall ever has sounded and I also like it better than i.e. Gower's mods.

This guy knows his shit and knows, how to do things right

Nobody cares about that right now. All we want is 21 pages
