FOUR GRAND?!

Gig-bag for a guitar at that price is insane.
Yeah, that's ridiculous. Just one more way they can chisel the shit out of the consumer. Like it's some kind of budget model. That better be a MONO bag or something high dollar but I bet it's a POS.

This was 100 bucks cheaper, leme do the math:unsure:

I'm a big G&L fan, but there's no way I'm paying those custom shop prices. The USA models around the $1500 mark are still a great deal, even better if you can find a used one.

4k is the new 2500....
Your not wrong, I just bought a Sadowsky "Metroline" bass, retail on them is $3400+, and thats not even the Made is USA model, It's the Warwick Germany made one. Czech made Spectors go for $3k+.... US made "boutique" basses are insanely priced, usually at the $5k - $6k starting point. played a US Spector yesterday, standard model, not a custom shop, price was $6400. prices are INSANE.

The new gear prices are even more insane in Europe at the moment. What next? Are the manufacturers able and/or willing to lower the prices to match the buying capability of the middle class in this economical situation in Europe and USA? I just bought a Gibson 80s Explorer for a blowout price of 1888€ which is still too high for that guitar, IMO. They normally go for 2666-2800€ in Europe which is insane for an Explorer. O_o

I don’t think used gear is moving either for the stupid price levels people are asking in Reverb and in local gear marketplaces.

That's a killer Andy Wood telecaster. Didn't know the silver finish was that dark. Looks great!
Its not that flashy either, just looks classy in the light too, and plays like a dream, pickups are low output but have to give em credit for sounding super dynamic. I'd rather pay 4k for this than that ugly G&L but ya never know if its a diamond in the ruff lol

Reverb is basically top dollar used market gear with very little wiggle room from most sellers. I bought an Indonesian LTD Viper 1000 a couple weeks ago. $789 plus tax and shipping. Not crazy but not a steal either but the Fluence loaded 1000's are 1499 new. I have a bunch of acoustics for sale on craigslist. Nothing is moving, not even any inquiries. Nobody has any money.

I notice the other new game on reverb a lot of sellers are playing is to not include the OHSC with the sale that way they can net a few bucks moving it separately. So initially the pricing might seem competitive until you message the buyer "does this come with the original case" and they say no. Seems like a shit business practice to me.

Weird. To me trying to sell a case separately with the shipping involved would be a pain in the ass. Plus shipping the guitar in the case would alleviate a lot of “will it get damaged stress” as well making the overall packing easier. But cases have become ridiculous in their pricing too. Many cases at $200 or close now.

Makes my Ibanez SRF700 in shitburst sound even better at under US$1K
