Friedman amps quality

I respect that Dave doesn't need gear forums for validation from dude's with Poison mulllets rubbing each other's backs and spooning each others delicate experiences with their amps.
Do you really believe he can't make a CCV?

to a particular schematic? Sure…as could a lot of people I would think

Dave modded an SLP for me that ended up catching fire on the back panel....something shifted in shipping and touched, then arced like a mofo, tubes red plated and the wood ignited..... Dave immediately took care of it, handled the shipping cost and had my amp back to me in under two weeks including shipping. I would give an A grade on customer service.
I think A grade service is when the amp doesn't catch fire to begin with.

I've had a couple Friedman amps as part of looking for the sounds I'm after, and they just weren't my thing. The JEL is probably the Friedman amp that would have been the closest fit. That said, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad thing to say about their quality or service. In fact, most people will go out of their way to tell you how positive their experiences with Friedman have been. Dave is one of those guys who will still respond personally.

So less the switches with the silicon, the Chinese tubes/capacitors, he's good to go...what a fucking joke and a total waste of a half hour

I don't think I ever worried more about the quality over the sound of the amp.

As long as it's not a real piece of crap, it's the sound that matters most.

Yeah I made it through 5m of that snooze fest. Guy loves to hear his own voice apparently.

And he acts like $1400 is some ungodly sum for a US built amp—it’s not. It’s the budget end of the Friedman line and is priced accordingly.

I love Marshall amps but there have been some great ones and some not so great. The Friedman amps have enough non-Marshall tones to be a different animal in my opinion. They focus on the low mids and have more growl and less bite, etc

Amongst the top 10 worst things about the internet.

Think I'm going to make a 15 minute detailed video expose' of that one time I spent
$3,000 on a custom shop guitar only to find it arrived with a screw not fully tightened.

Gonna need at least 2 camera angles...
