Condolences. They are de facto children. When we lost our previous dog, Oscar, at 15, it helped me a lot to just realize he lived a full and happy life in our house. We gave him the best run he could have hoped for. Our current little guy means everything to us and I’ll never have regrets on did I pet him enough or spend enough time with him. We’re spoiling the shit out of this little monster lol. The pain will ease with time but you’ll never forget him.

So sorry about your dog. I lost my dog a few years ago. He was 14, and I swear, it was worse than losing any friend/family member. He was my best friend, so I know your pain. Sorry bro!
