Pink Taco 112 cab or Dirty Shirley 112 cab?

The Pink Taco head is awesome!! wow, but I use it on my Marshall 1960 AHW 412 cab which is too much power and loudness.

I want to buy a smaller cab and now its between the three:

* Orange PPC112 - priced at 1/3 of the Pink Taco cab and 1/4 of the Dirty Shirley cab.
* Friedman Pink Taco 112 cab
* Friedman Dirty Shirley 112 cab

The DS cab is a little bigger than the PT cab and that I can dig as I thought the PT cab looks so tiny..

But are there any sonic differences between the two Friedman cabs?

What do you guys use who have the Pink Taco head?

Appriciate tips etc:)

Oh and the sound Im after is that typical creamy Superlead sound of The Darkness, Thin Lizzy, Pearl Jam etc...

Don't have a PT. But, I would want the Dirty Shirley cab with a closed back. Maybe the open back would suit the sound you are after.

I never had an open back before but I think I read just as many good reviews/opinions on open as closed cabs so I guess I would be safe with both alternatives.

But what I read is that closed is maybe best for metall stuff and open more for rock. Dont know if thats correct but..

The PT cab looks soooo tiny but Im sure it kicks ass with a loud drummer in a band mix. The DS cab is a bit bigger and would look more "cool" but I guess the PT cab is made for a reason and that it would be the best fit for the PT head. Hopefully I will get to try both before making a purchase.

I honestly think you should consider the speaker more than the cabinet. Celestion Lynchbacks are awesome with that head, in my opinion.

I can get the Orange PPC112 for a good price and could always swap speaker in it and try different speakers as you say.
On saturday I get to try the PPC 112 both two and one with the PT so that will be exciting:)

I suppose one is enough but two looks more badass for sure:)

Update! I got me the Marshall 2061CX cab and holy smokes what a combo!! Its just sounds like HEAVEN!!!

Now, what Fuzz pedals interact well with the Pink Taco? I have a Crazy Tube Circuits Starlight Fuzz that was awesome with my Ceriatone King Kong and Marshall Vintage Modern and DSL 50, but its not that great sounding with the PT.

So I think I will sell it and get another fuzz that is more PT friendly. Any tips here?

BTW, here is the holyness:

Very cool, where did you get the 2061cx from? Haven't seen one in a while.

What speakers do you guys recommend for this amp? I was think a Scumnico, but that may be too dark??
