Going back to a SL68 and I want to add some time-based effects after the amp.

Previously I did a Suhr RL into a Mosvalve 962 or a Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp. I had no complaints about the sounds of either setup, but I don’t have any of that gear anymore.

Looks like the Fryette units are a nice all-in-one approach. I don’t need the volume or the features of the PS100, but I’ve heard it may sound better?

Anyone have a preference between the tones using the PS2 and the PS100?

To me the sound near identical. The volume taper may be a little better on the PS100, but not by a significant margin. I went with the PS100 for the 2 channels and 100 watts. I don't really need it but nice to know it's there if I do.

I appreciate everyone’s input. Was going to order a PS-2 based on the comments here, but I got one of those unsolicited offers on Reverb for a new PS-100 discounted at the price of a PS-2, so I went with that.

I think you will appreciate the two channels of the PS100 and they are footswitchable for two separate volume levels. Quite a nice feature in my book if you got it for the PS2 price.:2thumbsup:

Agreed the two channels of the PS100 are worth a couple extra bucks. I used it for a volume boost with my Blankenship Variplex. The fx loop is also a great feature but you'll get that on the PS2 as well. I've seen a couple gently used w/ box PS100's pop up for less than a new PS2.
