Fuse Question On 1972 Marshall SuperLead

My ‘72 SuperLead 100 just blew its HT Fuse I think since for a few seconds the speaker cable came out of the speaker jack. It’s 1A, 250V fuse. Can anyone just let me know if it needs to be a slo blo or fast blo fuse? Thanks in advance!
 
This is a good question. I’ve seen many amp techs more knowledgeable than me say SLO. But that doesn’t mean it’s right.

I remember this coming up ages ago on the old Music Electronics Forum back when some pretty heavy hitters posted regularly there. I was just a noob amp builder/hobbyist. But I distinctly remember the notion that for the HT, SLO BLO doesn’t protect well enough. So you can use SLO there and you may never have issues. But that one day you really need that fuse, you want FAST blow.

I’ve used FAST blow in all my homebrews since and basically NEVER get nuisance blows.

SLO for the Mains for sure because those filaments are just wires upon fire up…lots of inrush current. But ime FAST for HT has never been a problem and is better protection.

Ready to be blasted but that’s my story and…

I can count on one hand how many other amps can rival it in the “hawk tuah” department lol, especially with Klon silver horse boosting it
