I have been reading about really light tele bodies, like pine bodies. What would be a good neck/board option trying to prevent that neck dive, while still being stable and beefy enough?

What's Fender using on those?

Idk how to say this and not sound like a jerk but.... If you only join a gear page because you want to win something for free off of there that is CLEARLY meant to be something meaningful to actual members........ Go away.

That's up to Lisa to decide, but yeah i see where you're coming from

at the beginning of this poll, it seemed rig-talk was metal as fuck.
Now it seems we have been infiltrated by TGP tan pants bastards.

I will not stand for this. I will stab you with my pointy fucking guitar.
I will block it with my Tele and your point won’t be a point but my Tele will still be in tune. :ROFLMAO:

Agreed. The raffle thing for sick kids? Yeah, who cares if strangers join in, in fact, the more the merrier! When the thread is a 'Rig-Talk Guitar Build'....IDK, I'm just a different type of person I guess.

It's like when you see traffic backed all the way up the road and swarms of people around here, someone is giving something away for free, even if it's just a $10 turkey.

I grew up the poorest of the poor, no slight there at all, but I'll see people in brand new cars waiting to get something for free and I'm like "this isn't for you"

It does give me a little bit of the eye roll, for sure, but lisas giveaway, so lisas call

On the plus side, maybe he'll be a contributing member in the future? :dunno:

I just built a super light HH Tele but it was chambered and it sounds so horrible I have another (Ash) body being painted at MJT right now. I have a pine traditional tele but it’s just a little on the light side and sounds great. I’m wondering if there’s a limit to how light you can go?

AFAIK Rosewood is lighter than Maple and roasting lessens weight so roasted Maple with Rosewood board would be lighter than one-piece Maple.

It's all in the OP, so I figure they have a few weeks to contribute and post a clip...

I have never played a multiscale, but would love to try one.

Def gonna be an option on the modern 7/8 string build. I personally would never buy an 8 string without it again. Maybe some 7s depending on the tuning/scale, but almost seems crazy not to go that route when you start getting up there.

I enjoyed playing a cheap 8 at guitar center. like 150$ ibanez. Felt great. But the low bass strings bother my ears. Almost sounds like digital clipping. Crazy, I know.

They def can.
Depends on the amp.
Hi/low pass and compressors can help, too if need be.
The Nazgul fixes these issue on it's own, ime/imo.
I funk'n love that pickup.
