To me, the Before llooked like furniture, This one I like better because the Sponge job isnt as obvious like alot of the others, I could live with this versionSgtThump":015bf said:

Oh man, I couldn't disagree more (obviously!) I love the look of guitars with dark stained wood or whatever it is. Man, that guitar was freaking awesome. That was the first elf shoe guitar I've looked at and loved.

I think it looks 100 times better now, and it's one of a kind. To each his own though, I know most of you guys hate the Caparison finishes.

I really liked how it looked before, but I like natural wood finished guitars. Not a huge fan of the sponge paint jobs.
Does it sound different now?? Are the bodies made out of different wood types?

Haven't got to try it yet, but I've played a regular Horus model a bunch of times. This body is mahogany and the old one was walnut.

Just tried her out with the 5150 and I like the sound a little bit more than the walnut. The walnut was a little tighter and clearer, but the mahogany is a little bit thicker and warmer sounding.
