Whatever... If the tone really truly disapointed on that guitar, I totally understand the change and agree. Personally, I really dig the look of the natural look of the maple board against the walnut. IMHO that cloud finish took it down a peg visually, looks like somebody spent a weekend at Home Depot learning new finish techniques....
Seriously, we sold a bunch of Clouds when I was workin at Guitar Asylum, yours stood out as something a little different visually, and thats always cool. But i guess you always want what U dont have, right? almost all of my guitars are solid colors/paint schemes, and I find im really diggin the natural finish look these dayswith a maple board... FK it, At the end of the day, the ONLY thing that matters is how it plays an sounds. If the change is an upgrade for you, tone-wise, then ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!! who am I to say... I'd still take either one!~

i don't even like natural-finished guitars, but i liked it better with the walnut body. also i think i would probably prefer walnut to mahogany sonically.

Black Chrome is like that Cosmo Black stuff that Ibeenhad uses. It's more gray than black. I think it looks like shit.

Snow Cloud is my favorite finish .... but the maple would look better on a darker body, maybe a Scarab

Nah, seriously Bro, its a beautiful piece, those guitars play Really well and sound great, an I wish you the best of luck with your new toy. The stock hardware sucks on it that bad, eh?? I never really noticed b4..... its the color thats killng u?? I know Ibanez made some awful color combos, my rg3120 trans red has this awful grey colored shit on it. Black, Gold, ANYTHING would've been better... I think some of these designers should take a fkn art course or something..... Yeech!!

Haha, yeah it's just the Gotoh parts on it that are the black chrome. So it's just the tuners, strap buttons, and volume knob. All easy fixes. Like you said about your RG3120, it's the same stuff on this. The gray colored black hardware. They all work fine, they just look retarded.
