Ghost goes full 80s hard rock

Fun riff. When did they switch to Fender's? I don't follow Ghost at all so if that is dumb question, so be it.

I don’t think I’d signed off on the word crying being the hook that holds an entire song together. Dressed up as zombies they missed an opportunity to make dying the hook.

That solo was super badass though.

Whole song just felt like a hodge podge of different riffs though.

I don’t follow ghost so I don’t know if this is just how they roll but it’s like a pussy version of fleshgod apocalypse.

The Chorus sounds disappointingly reminiscent of Alice Cooper's Desmond Child written hit "Poison". Ghost also should have named their new album 'Trash'.

Um, I hope you're not badmouthing that song. That is the BEST Alice Cooper song of all time, and the album was solid.

Ok I hear the Alice Cooper Poison chorus reference but think it is diff enough to get a pass. I wouldn't call it a lawsuit chorus or anything. I think it is a cool song.. is it memorable enough for me? Not sure yet. They are a cool band though. For some odd reason with those Fenders and the more snappy tone that comes with it, I feel like this song needed a guest appearance by Lord Malmsteen so he could arpeggio vomit all over this shit and have smoke rising from his feet. That would have been badass and a defining moment. I mean who are they kidding, there are little YJM runs all over this and people need to start being honest with themselves.. we all love YJM ( and donuts)

I don't know if I loved that, but it was certainly better than that last song they put out ("Satanized").

Have any of you guys heard their cover of Iron Maiden's "Phantom Of The Opera"? It's actually pretty great, imho:

I actually like ghost...Seen them a few times. They definitely have "evolved" into more of a pop oriented act over the last 5 years. In terms of the opening / main guitar riff of this song (and the one posted below), I feel like there is a Jake E Lee influence:
