Gibson just made some significant improvements to their already great Les Paul Studio model. Fingerboard binding, as well as Burstbucker Pro pickups that coil split! And I'm pretty sure the price didn't go up either! I've never really spent a large amount of time playing an LP Studio but thanks to my friends at zZounds, I get to learn about it and share it with you all!

The price actually went down $100 from the previous model. Still don't know why an SG Standard is $200 more??

I have a new Studio and is way nicer than Studio guitars I've played over the past few years. I still miss my 1993 Studio but these kick ass!

It seems like not that long ago you could buy a Studio LP for $800.

They should bring that back, fuck the bling.

I have this model that feels different than a lot of the others I have played. Sounds different as well. I have a Studio +. It has a thicker, rounded C profile neck and AAA flame maple top and gold hardware.. Absolutely sick guitar. In a desert burst or something like that. Got it really cheap. Sometimes the studio models really, really nail it.

I personally dislike the way binding feels on a fretboard but I know many enjoy it.
