Guys..the COD is sort of our take on the American Dumble, MK2C, etc. overdrive. The 'A' channel on the COD is not designed to be like the clean channel on any of those amps. Channel 'A' is simply a gained down version of 'B'. The intention is to be able to have two settings of gain for the OD type sound. You will never be able to dial in a pristine clean sound on 'A' and still have the singing, smooth tone on 'B'.

I totally agree here w/ Bruce. ChA of the COD has that "somewhat broken up feel" of these amps, but still has a ton of clarity to make it "feel" clean. I run a JP5751 in V1, and a TS 12ax7 in V2, and it just rips! It's definitely tighter on the bottom end than a T/D, DLX, or BMAN, and has a warm, smooth mid-range presence that is just to die for.

You can totally do "texas blues" with this module for sure! Especially on ChB w/ the gain at 11-12 oclock. I run mine w/ the bass / bright switch on 1, and all the EQ knobs at 1 oclock. I just plain love this module...especially on the neck single coil or position 4 of my strats!
