Last bit of verification and confirmation, gentlemen...

I've read some conflicting reports on the location of the CF (cathode follower) on the Twin Jet. And the lads at Boggy HQ don't even seem to know, ahem...

Is it V3?
Is it V4?
Is it V3 and V5?
Is it V4 and V5?

Thank you :salute:

Honestly after trying a few el34 types on this amp and then moving to KT88's,
I really don't there should be any other tube there. You can really feel the amp was built around them.

=C= 6550s have rocked my world in this amp. That's the beauty though - preference is personal

Oh I never tried these. Aren't they KT88's equivalents?
Sort of. One was European designed, one was US designed. But the KT88s can withstand higher PV and PC; apparently. The SED =C= tubes (6550) can handle this rating, as was explained to me by that lads this post was addressed to. So far, it's awesome. Has taken away some of the high end brittleness, and smoothed it all out but with good teeth left.

I can't say enough about it, it sounds fkn killer with these powertubes on deck (also changed the preamps, but so it goes).
