Goldman Sachs buying Marshall??

To quote Butthead; "Uh huhuhuhuh...dumbasses."

Goldman Sachs is likely only providing advisory services to Marshall about what they should do. It generally means things aren't going well when a company publicly announces it is undergoing a "strategic review". They'll likely launch an auction process to sell the entire company or just the "non-core" parts of the business if they are reshifting the direction of the company.

many companies don't last long after the founder passes.

I may have to hurry and get a Silver Jubilee 2555X sooner than I planned.
Silver Jubilee Mini combo for me :o

The future of Marshall amps is uncertain...maybe the family can step up and save the amp business at least; assuming they can afford it; if the company is sold off in pieces?

No one buys a stagnant business for 10x annual income. 2x is max, plus property and equipment assessed value.

Hopefully they start innovating again by expanding the merch line cause I could use a combo inspired toaster for my kitchen and some nice silk Marshall shirts to match my PRS ten top.

Yes please.

We need less 100w amp heads and more innovative gear like the Studio line. I agree!

I love my Studio JTM ❤

friends don't let friends buy Marshall's under 40W.

:poke:

when there's an option, I usually go with 100W Marshall. I have two Origin 50 because they don't make a 100W; I have a DSL40CR because they don't make a DSL 100 or 50 combo
