yep. Xotic BB Preamp w/ nearly all modules sounds fantastic. I use it as a slight gain bump / semi-dirty clean boost.

Gain at 8 oclock...volume at noon...bass at 2 oclock...treble at 11 oclock. I have tried tons of pedals...and that is definitely the one for me. I use it in front of all my modules...with GREAT results. COD, VX, Scorch, XTC...all sound great...as well as my PT100 clean tone and such. Takes a clean tone into texas blues territory...but also takes my Scorch into Killswitch Engage territory. Most versatile dirt box I've ever owned. That's why I have one on each pedal board! :)

I believe the BB only has Treble and Bass tone controls? Does it naturally give you a bit of a bump in your mids when you put it in front of the Eggie modules? I am primarily going to use whatever pedal I decide on as a boost in front of my SL and SL2 to use for leads, with the aim of getting a nice volume boost and mid-bump to fatten up the tone and get it to cut in the mix a little better, as well as push the module to really break up and have killer (read: infinite) sustain. You think this will achieve that result?

Thanks again!

BTW - Glad to see you're back! I haven't seen you posting around Rig Talk much lately?....

Yes the BB has only Treble / Bass tone controls. It does have a slight mid bump that I personally love. It does that across all modules / amps I have. What you are wanting to use it for, it will honestly be amazing at!!! You want more sustain...add more gain. I personally use it to do something similar to that. Definitely doesn't need a lot of gain on the BB set to get to that Zen state!

Yeah, I have been super busy at work lately, so I haven't been on here that much. Very much still a Egnater fanboi. I plainly love my M4 more than any other piece of guitar gear I have. That and a great power amp (My 2555 or PT100) could easily be my desert island setup.

I much prefer my M4 through those two power sections for sure.

Agree with Eric on the BB. Just a great and versatile pedal. If you want to save a little coin, you can get an EQ pedal, then just shape the boost to your liking. It will hit the front end harder.
