Got the Bogner today!

Initial impressions only as I've had less than an hour with it but...

Cleans are not as bad as I've heard people say, at all. Infact, quite the opposite, they're real nice. Blue channel is where I believe the rhythm tone will lie. Very big sounding channel, with a lot of thump. Red channel is where it gets all nice for leads... very nice feeling to play and it really sings. Not as tight feeling as the IV at all, but an exquisite bloom to the notes. Extremely musical sounding as they say, and wonderful sounding in general. Overall so far, I'm very impressed. I will be able to post something more detailed tomorrow evening after I get a full day with it ( )

I also need to try Plexi mode wound up!

By stock I take you mean stock pre 2004?

Where abouts would the mids and gain have to be to be closest to the stock tone?

Yeah, 101b. I loved the last one I had and it was an older one. I'm really looking forward to it. I had to trade my Baker for it. But.....oh well.

Congrats, I like mine alot, they are great amps. The red channel is great for a live lead channel but i think when Im just jamming I like the blue with the boost on. There are some really cool tones in the green channel as well, especially for broken up bluesy/rock kinda tones. Plexi is fun to mess with but isn't worthwhile till it is LOUD.

Congratulations! I have the 101B and slant Bogner 4x12 with V30's and its a killer amp. I go back and forth between the red and blue channels... they are close but most of the time I like the blue channel a hair better.

If you still have your OD808, make sure to try that with it. My Classic sounded even better with a boost in front.

Where do you guys run the Pre-EQ and Excursion most of the time? Also, do you find Presence B is more aggressive sounding?

Congrats on the new amp. I love mine. It's an '07 and sounds great. I especially love the feel of the amp. I'll have to check my settings but I've pretty much dialed in the clean channel like Brent has it figured out and have my Blue and Red channel set up Like J.B. did for his "Hunter" clips.

I tweak from there and have a blast. Some times I'll set my Red channel to be in Plexi mode; since the Blue is soooo good. Try it with Greenbacks if you haven't already

I've been thinking about picking up something like the BB Preamp. Remember the Classic is less compressed than the 101b so it might be that. Then again, I'm sure it will sound great
