Thanks! And with help from Voodoo Lab I've got everything working just the way I wanted. Now to start setting up patches!

Man wish I would have been watching this closer....I wired it myself a few months ago. I have the GCX and ground control using 2 loops for the channels and one for reverb. I have the pin out drawn up for future if anybody needs it...Glad ya got it!!

post it!

Sounds like you've got your setup working without the Control Switcher, Sixtycycle? Are you using a Tourmaster? And like Yeti, I'd like to see your diagram - always cool to see how others are getting things done.

my behringer fcb1010 has 2 tip to ground outs that can be used for amp switching...which i think is pretty clever.
i will incorporate it into my 5150 wet/dry rig once i get that all setup.

As requested, I have had mine up and going perfect for a while so if you need help just yell. I did change things a little here and there so I would be willing to look mine over and give you exact current updates also. I went to RSHACK and bought a small box threw in 4 - 1/4" female chassis mount jacks and velcro-ed the box in my rack.
Out of the box I soldered half of one of my spare Tourmaster stock foot switch cables in it.
Then I just used the 4 short 1/4" to 1/"4 cables from the box to the GCX loops I wanted to use.
This way I open my rack and I have only my power cable, the Tourmaster control cable from my little box, my effect send return cables from my snake and my amp input cable from my GCX all waiting ready to plug into the Tourmaster and play.
I plug my guitar into the GCX......and I'm playing in seconds. :D

As a side note I use a Planet waves snake from my rack to my floorboard controller. ONE BIG CABLE
I wired the Planet wave DB25 breakout at my rack solid to all of my gear connections with 1/4" males.
I took another PW DB25 breakout solid at my floorboard with 1/4" males.
The snake sends my signal and all power for my tuner, my ground control and my Morley Little Alligator volume pedal (which goes in my effects loop on the Tourmaster) from front to rack.

Anyone that tells you that there is any issue of the power in the snake or any issue of your signal being in that snake with power is WRONG :gethim: I have played very large to medium stages (it's all we do) with ZERO hum, issues... ;)
The noisiest thing I own is the Tourmaster out of my rig. :(

I have plugged theis rig into a Marshall, Soldano, and a Twin and near zero noise compared to the old TM power plant.

My rack has the following in it:
Furman
GCX
Pedal shelf: H20, Wampler Ego Comp, Zoom MG-50S, BBE-Tremor
MGS-64 (some keys)
Allen Heath ICE-16 (tracks/recording live)
2U drawer (well the drawer does get noisy   )

Hope this helps. :m17: :rawk:
Give me a yell if I can help....By the way a Kemper is in my very near future so all of this is coming up for sale for a mind blowing quick deal if anyone in the market...... :inlove:

Great diagram Sixtycycle. Thanks - I may need that one day!

BTW, how did you do it - the image?

...And you seem to be describing the same issue I sometimes have with noise. I can't believe that's something we just have to live with if we're using a Tourmaster, and ther are times where it's worse for me than other times. I might be opening a bigger can of worms here than I'll be able to absorb, but if Tourmaters are prone to noise, what causes it (just on the TM side - I know other devices can add noise) and what can be done about it?

And Yeti - I've been wondering for a while - what does this mean:

Great deals with: jkkkjkhk; the rossness; VESmedic; roodboy; c2ply; retrojet; roszatycki; EyesOfTheSouth; shred-o-holic; Orbis_Mortis;

Or should I use a search engine?

in my signature?

those arereferences to deals i've had on this site regarding gear trades/sales/acquisitions.

Yep - that's what I was wondering about. Understood.

 Thanks men, glad to help. I don't think much can cure the hums...seems like the pot in the TM to me, but don't know for absolute
I have a couple of little cool tricks on the way I run things maybe it's fairly normal but if ya wanna PM or email and talk about getting around with your GCX and Ground Control feel free Martin.

have you guys tried to elminate ground loops? dimmer switches on the circuit you plug into?
standing too close to your amp?

mine's only noisy when im near it (as in like 2 feet facing it).

I've tried most of the obvious things, sometimes better results but this amp just seems to be more suspect than others that "I'VE" plugged my rig into. I have unplugged rolled her aside when I hear any hum and roll in other amps and simply A, B, C, D against other guitarist and band mates amps that have graciously let me. Let me say one thing before I go on to my new system. Do not mistake my multiple venomous past post about these amp as a knock on the tone I am getting, it has been a dandy little ball journey twisting the knobs

there ARE a lot of tones in them..each channel transitions nicely where the other left off....

mine complements my 5150 and other gear nicely, or when im jamming with another guitarist it does too, and really cuts...on it's own, with those settings, it's thin and nasally sounding.....either way, so far, so good with mine, aside from the reverb tranny issues i've yet to solve.
