Well, I'm going to certainly try and guess. But, I doubt I'd do very well. I envy all you guys that have awesome ears. To, me it either sounds good or it doesn't. And I can make pretty good comparisons. But, guessing what amp! Doubtful!

Well, I'm going to certainly try and guess. But, I doubt I'd do very well. I envy all you guys that have awesome ears. To, me it either sounds good or it doesn't. And I can make pretty good comparisons. But, guessing what amp! Doubtful!

Especially after Jeff mods them too . Unmodded amps, I'd have a better chance...but anything Jeff / Bruce mods will get even harder

Also, factoring in not-so-perfect microphones used to record as well as compression on the video and I can't see how anyone could possibly guess correctly.

Well, I don't know man. Some people just have the most perfect ears. For example, I was watching a video on YouTube the other day of a guy playing through a Rebel. Suddenly, my wife who's in the other room blurts out "Is that you playing?" Although the guy had a playing style totally different than mine, she recognized the Rebels tone right away. Impressive!

The other day some Joe Bonamassa cycles around on my iPod and my wife says, "Is that you?" When I got over the surge I was reminded of a time many years ago when my wife caught me watching a John Holmes porno. After a few minutes she asked, "Are those guys normal?"

The level of cluelessness is the same, but I still love her ...
