Guitar Picks

Years ago we sent around a box/package to a bunch of Rig-Talkers. You'd in your favorite pick, maybe some extras you have laying around and you'd mail em off to a Rig-Talker, then he does the same, mails it off to the next. We should get one of those going again.
 
Mainly InTune Jumbo Jazz White's 1.50mm, i also have some BHL Wizards that are killer. And usually some other JazzIII's or Tortex sharps
 
I learned long ago to just be happy with standard, garden-variety heavy picks. Fenders, store brand, whatever.

I'm currently going through a collection of Victor Litz store brand heavy's my late best friend Eric Lawhon gave me many years ago.
 
I use the dunlop 500's .96mm ...A carry over from my Malmsteen days. I rough up the edges with a razor blade
 
Been hooked on Jazz IIIs since '09. I can't believe I played regular sized Tortex before that! I love the tone but they are so clumsy feeling now. I bounce around to other jazz or jazz xl picks with different material but usually come back to the standard III. Giving the Tortex III xl a run right now.

If I'm chomping on some down tuned stuff I still occasionally grab a Tortex wedge or sharp.
 
I almost always use a Jazz III variant. Not a fan of large picks. And I like picks on the thicker side.

My three top choices are

Dunlop Jazz III (red Eric Johnson style)

Dunlop Prime Tone Jazz III (great grip)

Dava Jazz picks (Really liking these lately)

My pick of choice for the past 9 years and counting.

I sometimes wish they made a 1.5mm thick model.
 
V-Picks
Small Pointed

Other choices:
Dunlop Jazz III's
Gator Grip 2mm
 
Dunlop Ultex Standard 1.0mm
With lighter gauge strings. Used to like heavy strings with a medium pick. Now using a heavy pick with light strings!

to me, nothing else comes close!! I used to use the 1's but moved up to 1.14.

Either .73mm Ultex sharps or Eric Johnson Jazz IIIs. I can transition from thwappy flexible picks to that really smoothed out Jazz III feel pretty easily now but when I was in my teens I NEEDED Jazz IIIs.
