Idk, as far as I'm aware reputable magazine writers/editors always paid bands, movie stars and other celebrities for their time and interaction - regardless of era. I'm not sure why Guitar Player magazine would be any different. Here is a list of all the reputable magazines that pay for interviews:
It was super bad when Lisa was there too lmao, tbh I'm surprised it lasted so long with the internetzGood riddance. Guitar Player magazine was done when they hired that ball washer Joe Gore.
Print is dead.Surprised it lasted as long as it did, tbh.
Print is dead.
And that's why I bought a whole-house generator.Makes me wonder where people are going to get their tabs from when the internet stops working.
Not for me . I need sheet music with tab with the standard notation and on a stand . My house is a fucking library of sheet music in every room . Probably why my Asian fetish left me. But it’s ok I’ll just shred morePrint is dead.
I recently unsubscribed from the Premier Guitar emails for the same reason. Try to enter enter a guitar giveaway, can't find entry form.I just got my notice in the mail. Sad day and big time bummer.
I dnt like the digital version, especially all the distractions and junk windows, gets so cluttered at times I can't even find the actual article.

I teach my students from the print editions of guitar pl,guitar worl, gui for practicing musicians, guitar one.
It's an easy workflow with paper copies of a lesson, and we tried the online version lessons once and it was a cluster %$^ trying to stop the adds and pop ups just so the students could learn without distraction. Print was soooo much easier to work with.

When my wife & I moved into our house 10 years ago i had about 500 lbs of GP and other mags i swore id never do that again. Hardest part of that move was carrying all those mags down 3 flights of stairs to the dumpster. It's all we had before the internet
