Is that the Dimarzio PAF?
I am running rackless these days but I had a parametric PA in the loop before that worked well. I am trying to run light these days....just pedals and amp. I am using a Sparkle Drive to give a boost and slight mid boost. You have me thinking of trying a graphic EQ pedal in the loop.....if I can find a good one. So, no gain boost....just the EQ?
I think you are like me in that we like the mid and low mid frequencies a lot.....so you might not like the high mids of the SLX.
