Eminence makes a hemp cone speaker. And Weber has a hemp cone version for some of their models. I haven't tried any, but they're supposed to be a little darker and smoother than a paper cone variant.

I remember seeing a big advertising thing when thet first came out. Some people like them, though I don't think they ever really caught on. At least not with the hard rock/metal crowd.

I have a tone tubby hempcone. It sounds fantastic. No complaints if it's made well.

George Washington’s ghost possess you to post this thread on his birthday?

It might make your eyes red ?
Listening for long periods can cause drowsiness.
It helps with creativity, but you can't remember what you did .

That comparison makes me appreciate the v30 a hell of a lot more.
Me as well. Problem is that with comparisons like this (same settings with a 57 dead center) make it hard to get a full read on things, though. I get that it's done to show what differences only the speakers bring, but one or more usually sound way "off" when you have such different sounding speakers. As evident in that clip. You can tell they all need different eq from each other and likely differently mic positions too. Following up a comparison like this with one where the amp is re-eq'd for the speaker and the mic set up in its "sweet spot" would give a more real world comparison imo. Definitely makes for a more pain in the butt video to make though lol.

See you’re not directly comparing the speakers then. If you have to change settings or mic positions, it’s not a direct comparison. At that point it’s just making x sound good or making y sound good.

Oh I totally get why it's done. That's why I suggested following it up with a comparison of them all sounding their best. That way you can hear the direct comparison and then the difference between them dialed in better. I hear this and the hemp cone sounds distant and fizzy. And who knows, maybe that's about all it can do lol, but I'd really like hear how it fairs against the V30 with both sounding their best. Both approaches together would be an interesting and more well rounded comparison imo.
