Yes I'm finding it too dry for my taste, even with these couple of poor quality vids I can hear that. Not that it sounds bad but I'm preferring my 100B so far.Ventura":42949n7p said:Judging from the 2 vids...
Tighter for sure. Can't really tell bass on it, but I'm guessing it's got more than a plexi. I'm finding it a bit too dry, and am going on a hunch that there's definitely room for more saturation in the circuit than these videos - with the time given and the test pilots driving - are indicating.
The idea it takes pedals was the first thing I thought about when I watched the above video - we're into that 808/TS territory, which is the recipe for most plexi voiced heads, and, for the record, not my preference personally, but whatever.
Need more data. More quality clips. At this time, if I had to pick, I'd go 50 watts only to know I could crank it quicker and get it to push sooner than a 100 watter. It's needing that fatter saturation, longer sustain, more chew.
Just IMHO, I know Reinhold is responsible for 1 of my 2 favourite lines of amps of all time. I'm wagering there's some magic on these heads that's yet to be revealed.
It's got that "THUNK" going on... You know, plow ya in the chest. And it's got that one famous descriptor going on.... "kerrang". But I'm undecided as to what to make of it. I love Bogners for the chew and grind - every key amp Reinhold has put out has this - everything from the Rev.2 and TJ through to the XTC and Sheevs. It's a growl. This sounds more like a punch to the head than a growl - not that either is bad when discussing metaphorically and in the context of "amps"supersonic":3mdrzxgm said:Yes I'm finding it too dry for my taste, even with these couple of poor quality vids I can hear that.
