Not attenuating but slaving..
The Marshall is a 90's SLP reissue re-built by John Suhr, pretty much the same specs as the Suhr SL68, except my Marshall has NO master volume and I use an actual Variac instead of the built in one like the SL68 has

Signal chain: Suhr Iso Boost (set on 1 or 2), MXR Flanger reissue, ADA Flanger used on the rhythm guitar on original song, MXR 70's script logo Phase 90, Maestro EP3 Echoplex, Boss GE-10 Eq (lowering frequencies not boosting),into Marshall Plexi Reissue (all controls on 10!), Variac set at 90 volts, out of the SLP into hotplate (set as load) Suhr Line Out box sends signal to Suhr Modded JCM800 2204's effects loop, ran at low volume into a CAE 1x12 cab loaded with EVM12L mic'd with a Beta 57 into my M-Audio pro Interface, delay and reverb added in Cubase.

EVH should be sending you a check for how many guitars that demo is going to sell. Just killer Al!

Well Al wasn't kidding about that new Unchained guitar being fun to play...I just spent 2 hours playing one at my local store, and good grief...man, plays fast, sounds great (the Wolfgang pup is AWESOMEW)...for a guitar under $900, I was really impressed.
