Help deciding on a mesa Mark 5 or 7

Had a couple of Mesas when I was in Asia...namely MkV, 2 Lone Star, Transatlantic and Express.
The only ones I had any use for was the Line Stars but with the crap power there I got about an hour if use before they needed to go see the doctor.

None of them came remotely close to what I got out of my T-verb I used for 2 decades.

Now since I was ampless due to the fire e had a friend send me his V25 and Im completely over the moon with that.

So for your use case I'd stay with the V35.

I love the Mark V25 but to me it's more about just how many great tones there are in an amp small enough to just about fit in your pocket and weighs only 16 lbs. That amp is a marvel of engineering imo.

However, if I'm going for 100% tone with zero compromises and the amps the OP listed are my choices, I'm going Mark VII all day long, easy.

Another thing about the V that I hated was the shit Preset EQ Knobs next to the Graphic.. FUCK were those useless..

Absolutely. I get good mileage out of my Engl Ironball as a lunchbox amp, late at night noodling, quick riff tests etc, but the V:25 is such a more diverse, allround machine...the things the Engl does better is the placement of the loop, easier to set up and the sound of the (digital) reverb.

While waiting on the 7 to arrive a bought a V90, its much more for me tone and feel wise. Its different, i cant say one is better then the other.

The combo is heavy, but in the end ill seap the c90 and keep it in my living room, atleast when i dont need to go stereo.

The 7 should arrive tomorrow
