Enough about this. How was the 8 string, Scott? Sorry I missed ya at the Gilbert gig. The only guys I saw were Kage and Bob...

Yeah yeah yeah...........I thought seeing you would be easy since I heard you were 6'2" or around there but we were more towards the back.
The 8 string does have a wide freaking neck, add another 4-5 mills at least from the RG7 and the F# string is thick. If you handled the 7 strings with little adjustment I bet you could settle in on the 8 but as Tom said yeah it is huge Neck plays great, typical prestige neck fretwork.

Well, I'm actually closer to 6'5" and was near the back by the side door, but I never saw anyone but Kage (actually I saw Pat earlier on...), not even Ralph who I'd have easily recognized... Oh well... hopefully you'll be back next year...
Anyway, are you gonna get the 8 string? I really want to play one and may get one. Whaddaya think street price is gonna be?

The Cooley 7 is a nice freaking guitar believe it or not, slamming low action and very well built. Well thought out guitar and will give the UV a run for it's money.
