Shitt, MegaMark beat me too it :(. Oh well, it's going to a good guy.

Haha, he isn't selling it. At least not yet. :gethim: :D

I really like the Sparkle Drive. It's real versatile, going anywhere from tubescreamer to fully clean boost. The only downside I've found is it's a bit of a battery eater.

Get an SD-1. They sound good stock for all the applications you would want it for, plus they are easy to mod. And some of the mods sound AMAZING at a fraction of the cost of the boutique shit.

I got a Bad Monkey for like 15 bucks eBay an hour ago. I'll prolly pick myself up a SD-1 in the near future and mod it up.

t.c. jauernig luxury drive. excellent pedal to boost the front end of a fender or marshall imho. it's like a 3-d kick in the balls in front of my dsl. :D true bypass.. adds just a bit of sparkle.. can be used before or after other pedals in the chain.. and just sounds so good you don't want to turn it off. botique.. yes. but less than a tube screamer or od 808.

Hey guys,
those of you who talked about modding an SD-1, if you could post some links to some valuable info about that, I'd really appreciate it!

You know I actually really disliked the Bad Monkey. And its because it has an EQ. I know that sounds retarded, but I hate it.

You a goofy bastid. That's why I like it. I actually barely ever use mine to boost the signal level, and just twiddle the bass and treble a tad, depending on what I am doing.

It does work well boosting the clean channel of my amp when I turn it all the way up, though.

I've bought 2 monte Allums kits with great results.

he tells you what the mod does so if you would like you could increase or decrease values to your liking.

they are fun to do if your half way alright with a soldering iron. it isn't that hard.

also there is a old HCDIY post about modding sd-1's

http://acapella.harmony-central.com/for ... id=1237455

more info and tweaks there.

The Monte Allums mods are cool. I got LordOVchaoS to mod mine before he started up his business and I am very pleased with the results. Do a search and check out his website.
