Hi Peter, Thanks for your response. I would love to get it on your work bench too but I'm in Chicago IL USA ....not thrilled with sending the amp all the way to Germany & back. Could create more issues than I have now just from the transit. Is there an alternative? I'm not too concerned with extending tube life per se, I just think I may have another issue. Odd as it seems other than the low frenquency hum upon initial (first) time taking her off standby which subsides after 20 seconds or so it seems OK but i remain somewhat concerned.
