now i am dying to try the Hempcone cab. Maybe Santa will bring me one this year!!

I have two RL-2-12 cabs w/V30's for my Einstein set up. I keep hearing about hempcones but from who and what specific hempcone if I want to re-load these cabs and get away from the V30's? I am looking for manufacturer and specific model info as well as where to buy in US. Thanks very much.

You can get them straight from Diezel USA. How many do you need?

Welcome Home Martin! ;)
Get the RL with Hempcones. After that your mate can pack his bags!
Somtimes i wonder if i better bought the RL Hempcone instead of the FL V30. I don´t know. Peter S. told me i can try the two cabs, but i said there´s no need to. :aww:
I tried them in Frankfurt at the Musikmesse, but not in the bandsituation.

But i thinkl the FL V30 is not a bad cab! :D

Du ich könnte auch nächsten Samstag. Allerdings erst abends?! Wie wärs?

Hi Bato, yea finally managed to register on here.
Hm, I didn't really consider the Hempcones, dunno why but I somehow thought they were better suited for like lower gain stuff. Anyways, thats why I wanna go to Dillingen or Bad Steben if possible and try all cabs with my amp and guitar. If I manage to get an appointment with one of the Peters you're welcome to join me of course.
Yea, your FLV30 sounded really great with your Herbie, but as the Cobra hates the V30 Midhump I most likely won't get another V30 cab unless I'm completely dissappointed with the K100 and now the Hempcones.

Danke für das Angebot, aber ich bin noch bis 25. in the UK. Danach sehr gerne und da kann ich mich auch voll nach dir richten, Keine Gigs und Auslandsaufenthalte mehr ;)

If you want to test cabs, you have to go to Peter S. And of course i would like to join the ride!!!

Terry..ill trade you my FL G12K100 cab for a RL HempCone cab

I play a mixed V30 and K100 fl diezel cab with a herbert since one month.
Also Terry and Peter seems not to like mixed cabs, I prefered the mixed over the others.

I also play modern high gain metal and to me the k100s did not have enough bite but a beautiful bass respond,
where the v30s are the other way around, but a little bit to brittle.
Together thats the best of both worlds (to my ears), although you may loose a very little peace of clarity because of the different frequencies lying above each other. But overall I liked that sound the most =)

edit: did not try hempcones yet

I'd still like to get some more information about those hempcones. What do they sound like compared to "famous" speakers e.g. V30, Greenbacks, ... and does anyone use them for modern highgain tones?
I searched the net and found some reviews but mostly from players that are into blues, jazz or softer rock music.

I have commented quite a bit lately on the hemp cones in various threads. Imagine all the vintage type positive characteristics of a vintage 30 and a greenback without any of the downside to any of those speakers from a sound perspective. Now add to that an immensely tight, articulate, focused cabinet that is very immediate with wonderful harmonic overtones (due to cab construction) and you put them together. That is a quick version of what the rear loaded hemp cones are like. Traditionally that hemp speaker is not know for the chug and so forth. Proper cab design and construction of our cabs along with that speaker provide a wonderful blend and unique dynamics. Put that speaker in in a different type of cabinet and it may not work the same at all. In this particular case and with our amps it works exceptionally well.

Terry,
There are a view posts already about this. Maybe it would be better iff you made a sticky with all the info on the cabs and speakers. It would safe you alot off time, damn you've got a lot off patience

To the guys:
The overall ''band sound'' will also be of importance to what cab and speaker you take. Guys, when possible, demo all cabs and speakers with you're setup. Where i used to rehearse they had an old cab with V30 speakers that where broken in, man that made a huge difference! Those V30's lost there harshness and where better balanced(hope this is the correct way to say it). My V30 speakers at home will take a lot off time before they get there. When mixing speakers you can always choose which speaker to mic when going live, so dont worry about that. Here in Holland most bars, cafe's etc. mic there live music(i dont now how it is in you're area's). BTW i dont have any experiance with the new Diezel cabs, but hope to have that soon.

Its diffecult for the people that cant demo the cab, a clip wont give you the info that you need. Terry and others can only explain what they experience with those cab and speaker combinations, this differs from person to person, so keep that in mind.

Agreed. I will work on this in detail when I have the time to do so and do it proper.

Those who have called to us or written inquiring about the cabs have received honest, unbiased information about the cabs and how they sound etc. We have been very pleased (pleased far beyond expectation) at the feedback we have received and every time the customer says it sounds just like you explained it and said it should. I do my absolute best to make sure we are on the same page at the end of our dialogue.

Great to hear that Terry. Nothing better than having happy customers
