PD,

Thank you again for helping. I did try everything you ask and still no sounds. None of the tubes are glowing (power and/or preamps). The only lights that are glowing are the blue LED lights on the front panel.

I will contact 65amps tomorrow. They need to enjoy their Xmas day with families first.

Here's how the amp got to me... I was the person who took it out of the box. I bought it at Guitar Centers in the box. I am the only one who ever played thru it. Here's what I'm running with it. I have wah, TS808 (setting at 0 gain), and noise gate in front of it and in the switchable loop I have the G-Major in there. I am using a Rocktron Midi Mate to control the amp (Could this be the problem?) The Herbert powers my Midi Mate thru a 7 pin cable. Also controlling my G Major thru the MIDI THRU on the Diezel.

Now that I think about it... I did notice a little problem of not being able to control the G Major while hook up to the Midi Thru on the Diezel. I thought it was just my midi cable. A couple of days later it was working good again. After that I didn't play it for about one whole week cuz I was out of town. When I got back it was dead.

Please be carefull if You open the amp. Voltages are reaching
480 volts. You have no heater current flowing through the tubes.
Is the amp a 120 Volt version ?
Please switch on the amp but let it standby.
Please measure with a DC-voltmeter between pin 4 and 9
on the preamp socket located on the front close to the knobs.
Pin 1 is 7 o´clock, pin 9 is 5 0´clock.
There has to be 6 to 7 Volt DC.

If not, plug off the amp and take away the main cable.
Please check the connections on the main transformer.
That´s the bigger one. Maybe take a picture from the
lower side of the transformer. I´m interested on the
free side where the inputs are soldered.

Thank You very much for Your help

Peter,

This is the 120 volts amp. I tried to do what you said but nothing happen. I took out the tubes and test them on my Dyna Jet Tube Tester and all the power tubes are good all of the preamp tubes are good but one. The second one counting from the input jack to going to the left tested bad. After I put in the new tube just to check it out I noticed that I blew a fuse (the one with the special covering), the 1.6 amp one. I replaced a new fuse but still the same.

Here are the photos you ask for:

Thanks

Please replace the 1,6 AT fuse again and install a complete new set of
EL34-SED power tubes. Replace all 0,5 AT fuses also.

PD,

I tried what you ask and nothing still. The amp is on it's way to Mike at 65amps. I spoke to him and we tried all kinds of trouble shootings and still nothing. He told me to send it in so by day end on Thursday he will recieve the amp. Let's see what he will find out.

Thank you for everything you have done for me. We're not going to find many people like you when it comes to customer service. Mike was also very down to earth also. Really cool guy. Thanks you!!!
