I had a question about the tuner out of the herbert.

MIne is brand new....It says in the manual that if you mute the amp the tuner out will stay active, so you can tune why the amp is muted....

Well on mine the tuner out works, but when the amp is muted it stops working seems like no signal is getting to the tuner...Ive got a korg rack unit the herbert is going strait into the in of the korg....

any ideas?

thanks

If someone can try theirs for me and confirm that this is supposed to work it would be much appreciated.....

it should work- is the tuner set at the correct input? it should show as you play as well. just nice to mute the amp so you can tune in silence if this makes sense.

Well, its definetly hooked up properly.... tuner out of amp to the input of the tuner...it does work as I play....

As soon as I hit mute on the amp its stops working....... Ampaddict, do you have a herbert? Does the tuner still work when the amp is muted?

Uwe at salwender says it could possibly be a mistake in the manual or a design change.....Not sure yet if its my amp or all herberts

Thanks

I have the exact same setup, Korg + Herbert and not a problem! Love the tuner out, mines going into the 'in' in the back of the Korg.

not that it matters , but out of curosity, what cable are you using from tuner out to the actual tuner? A balanced TRS cable, or just a standard guitar cable?

Is there one I am supposed to be using over the other....

Shouldn't matter, but a standard guitar cable. Something seems to be wrong. :( Diezel will take care of you!

i don't know why but sometimes i get the same thing, others it works

We found out that a few new Herberts have a wrong software
on the controller. So the tuner out has no signal at muted amp.

SORRY !!!!

No no Peter we want money back !!

:D

Thanks for the honesty. How cool is that! Peter Rocks.

the word "software" on an amp scares me...

+1 to honesty  as opposed to other companies that won't help you and lie about when something is their fault...

I still have yet to find better custom service/honesty/helpfulness then Diezel in any industry/company.

i muted the amp and use the tuner this morning.. it doesn't work :(
(i hope an easy mod could fix this)

did u email peter?

turns out the controller chip needs to be replaced. apparently this is a very easy swap that you can do yourself, and Uwe at Salwender even offered to walk me through it on the phone if i needed help. Email peter, ....i did, and my replacement controller chip is already on he way !
