Hetfield gives his old White V a tuneup,brings back old gear

Kirks definetely using the Randall gear...... Jeff (Egnater) was saying at the MTS Forum that he has 9 of them in his Rig..... :rock:
 
That V looks like shit :(

Instead of putting it back on the road, it belongs in the hall of fame.

Not sure that touring with their old gear will make any difference.
Its not their live tone that sucks.....its all the songs from the Black album thru St Anger that suck !

Why the hell do you think he's gonna bring his original V on tour??? :confused:

That guitar may still be worth playing after a tech has gone over it, but it's certainly never gonna see the road again.

The studio? yeah (possibly). on the road? not a chance.

I say put it in a museum......as imo recording with it also wont make any difference.

I'll bet a case of beer that no one will be able to tell by listening to the new album what songs (if any) he used that V on.
Their gear from the Black album thru St Anger album wasnt the problem.
But if it makes James feel like it gives him a portal back to a time when all his riffs were awesome then good for him.

It sure was cool to see that guitar again!
I'd of just stuck it in the hall of fame in all its beat to hell glory....A priceless relic'd piece of metal history.
Now some tech went and fucked that up by "fixing" it. :thumbsdown:
 
Not sure if the EMGs were already in there when james took it in but all the guys did was bring it back up to a level where it could be played again :)
