How does checking even happen on a guitar like that from that era? Was that even nitro?
That's what I was telling my friend on the phone when I was laughing my ass off when I found it. I highly doubt they put nitro on those guitars, likely just poly. The one on eBay he's referring to is a totally different Kramer. Just because that green Kramer may be worth a lot doesn't mean your green Kramer is lol

Checking happens regardless of finish, afaik. My 1991 USA Hamer, after 15 years of not caring to wipe it down at all, when I finally did it had a very cool check almost as extensive as that Kramer. Pretty sure the Hamer was poly.

I had a pretty clean one of those in the same color. I always wanted one, but didn't bond with it at all. I think I sold it for $1300 about four yrs ago, but it was pretty clean and will OHSC and hang tag.

Dude and a pink EBMM EVH?!?! Noice

That's an Axis tribute, but I did later have a pink EBMM EVH and also did not bond with it. My blue and sunburst ones, however, are going into my coffin with me.

It’s not even worth what they ask you to donate for the kids at the market checkout.

It looks like it was taken from a fireplace, and spray painted with Krylon. Then, left outside for 20 years, rescued, then sat in an attic for 10.
some things in life, you just have to see it for yourself. I always LOVE the kind of click bait that is shared on this forum. most of it is good to stir up a chuckle, shoulder shrug, or laugh... Hell, at times all three!
