I too served and retired from the military in 2010. I then went back to civil service in a HQ billet in special operations command and was unfortunate to have a front row seat to the destruction that was brought to bear against the once proud DOD.
I voluntarily took a deferred retirement and left as the absolute insane policies were being dictated down from the pentagon, and the yes men in the HQ's were implementing them as fast as they could.
There was a purge of anyone in leadership positions who offered an ounce of resistance. Those that were not fired, quit in disgust.
There was also a purge of warriors from our ranks. Anyone who had the testosterone and warrior mindset that it takes to brutally destroy the enemy's will to fight were court-martialed for sexual harassment for the smallest perceived infraction or forced into indoctrination training Those left are mealy-mouthed metrosexuals who need mental health counseling as the sight of a confederate flag. Many are not manly enough to face the horrors of war, much less being captured and tortured by our enemy.
If someone had as their sole purpose the destruction of our ability to wage war against our enemies, they could not have been more successful than the Obama administration. I will leave the conclusions to the readers.
