Hipshot bridges and tail pieces .. anyone with experience?

Nothing wrong with aluminum but it definitely sounds airier with less muscle compared to an all stainless steel, zamek or especially brass bridge/tailpiece.

TonePros stuff is good but not the best there is. Better yet is hardware from ABM (Europe), Guitar Fetish and FU Tone. They all have top of the line tune o matic bridge/tailpiece upgrades. Best bet is to wait for sales, like I do lol

Hipshot stuff is top notch but I'd use that bridge only if I needed the extra intonation range.

I tend to use Gotoh hardware when possible.

Hipshot is great. That said, for TOM-style bridges, I prefer TonePros. From what I remember, TonePros are basically Gotoh bridges and tailpieces with a locking screw added to them to prevent them from falling off. Suhr also used the TonePros stuff on the Auras he made, so it's pretty quality stuff.

Thanks everyone. I'll check out Tonepros instead.
I can always start with the bridge replacement and then do tail piece after.

I've used Hipshot locking tuners in a bunch of guitars. They are great. Hipshot makes quality hardware.
But in this case, I'd recommend TonePros too. It's good quality, more affordable and it will retain the stock look of the guitar.

Most of my LPs have this exact combination (Hipshot tuners and TonePros bridge/tailpiece).

Hey everyone,
Looking at replacing some hardware on my LP Classic due to discoloration. Came across the hardware from hipshot.

Anyone with experience and can comment on the quality of it, etc.. ?

HipShot and TonePros are great choices, as is Faber. I’m currently using parts from all three companies.

If tarnish and discoloration is the only issue on those nickel parts I would suggest trying this first, I was blown away what it did to a couple of crusty old skanky LP tail pieces....

I have not tried that specific bridge but have a few guitars with other hipshot bridges and tuners and they’re solid, no discoloration and feel comfy.
