Hipshot bridges and tail pieces .. anyone with experience?

I tried the Resomax bridge, and it didn't have the travel I needed to intonate the G-string. Had it maxed out and was still sharp. Drove me nuts and I went back to the Tonepros.
Yeah, I get ya. The saddles are chunky and limit the range a bit. I'm not sure if it's a common problem with Gibsons in general, but mine was like that, but I have started using wound 3rds, so that helps. But I had that issue with the 6th string as well when I was tuning down to B with a 60, so I had to go back to C with a 56 because of that.

I like that these Hipshots have a lot of room for intonation. I wouldn't mind trying out the TonePros Nashville bridge with the aluminum body and the brass saddles to hear how it sounds.

<----Faber locking is what I have on my avatar. No complaints. However, the best I've ever used was Steve Rowan era Pigtail. I did have the Hipshot stuff on a Standard not too long ago; it sounded good.

Hey everyone,
Looking at replacing some hardware on my LP Classic due to discoloration. Came across the hardware from hipshot.

Anyone with experience and can comment on the quality of it, etc.. ?

Thanks
Hipshot stuff is always high quality in my experience.

You can also get in tough with my good friend Eddie Carlino as he has recently made some custom pieces that might be of interest to you. https://www.carlinoguitars.com/

Hipshot is awesome for fixed and 2 points trem bridges, but they're a little late to the game for Tune-O-Matics.

So as long as it has some locking mechanism it should be compatible to anything else.

Personally I already have Faber hardware on my Les Pauls and I can't imagine a better locking design - aluminum at that. Don't knock it, it makes it airier and have sharper attack, if somewhat cutting the fat off the lows which a Les Paul could honestly stand to go on a diet and lose a bit of.

My Les Pauls went from 80% beef need to 95% lean beef cut if that makes sense. Less fat, more muscle.

Do you recall any different tone wise between the hipshot hardware and Faber? Thanks
