lol, My local GC just got a shipment and the one that stuck out, A new LP standard Plus top....$5k lol. I couldn't believe it. They weren't selling them at $3500 and now that kind of bump with an ugly signature and min e tune tuners lol.

Heres a sneak peak at the 2016 Zakk Wylde model, Its aimed at people who don't want to waste time tuning OR learning how to play the guitar.

$12499.

Pretty funny,
but despite the 29% increase on most models, the studio's have actually went down -7% in price

Over at the Les Paul forum, anyone complaining about the price bump, Min eTune or anything else on the 2015 line, is getting beheaded by ISIS. Those guys are the true, fan bois for sure.

Seriously? That's absurd.

I actually like that ocean blue LP... as well as curious about the zero nut, widened fretboard, & removable pickguard. The price hike is out if line, no doubt. Seems like everything has gone up huge in the last 5 years except my salary

Tried the new Gibsons and their upgraded pricing.
Looks like the Standard and Studio Pros have thinner finishes and the mini tune looks, feels cheap.
Not a good design on that at all and just repulsive no matter the convience for me.
Yep I. am Not a potential customer of this left over Firebird or Dodo X tech forced on the models at all.
Look like Henry craps the sheets again.
Whoohoo! Gibson.

All this means to me is that my current les pauls just went up in value

And too me finding a good older one more pricey.

I've never bought a new one and not sure why I ever would. Even when I got my 2013 R8, it was used (got it in 2013).

This time around I only think that will happen with certain models (just imo)...but generally that has been true in the past for sure across the line.

I think Henry is aggressively feeling out how high he can push it while sustaining a projected amount of sales. If he goes too high like Fender did a few years back, there will be a market adjustment.
