even he realized things were going sideways in that department. the rivera bonehead amp was born during that time and was a very weird sounding amp to me in the room. stiff and bassy.
but amps like that, the mesa coliseum, ampeg V4, diezel vh4, soldano slo, CAE, and mojave dirty boy, etc were designed to be played very loud and cut through an arena if needed.
 
I'm the same with Stryper. They sound as good as ever; Michael Sweet's voice seems bulletproof, and the guitar / songwriting is still great.

IMO

Stryper is finishing up a new album this month.
I just don’t like how extremely nasal the rhythm tones are on the Sneap produced albums.
 
Toto is the shit.

Not that it's a contest, but I think that band had/ has the highest level of musicianship on the planet.

Just unreal.

boz scaggs, karizma, ambrosia and hiroshima and grew up jamming with the pocaro family in high school. could you imagine being in hs and cruising over to jam with jeff and steve pocaro at their house as luke walks in with landau to sit in?!
