Discontinuing the PRO version of the MK 4.23 Clean Boost was a something that we had to sit down and make one of those decisions where you have to weigh the costs of production versus how many we expect to sell based on how many we've already sold. It was a difficult conclusion to come to, but in the end we decided to discontinue this line. Maybe in the future it will come back....who knows. But at this point we're just going to stick with the 9V version. It still puts out a huge 24dB of boost!!! And it's totally clean no matter where you've got it set.

Danno, remember, it's not the 'clean boost' that gets the mojo flowing, it's using it to overload your power section that really gets me growing a rubbery one!!

Let us know how she goes - I think this is the bomb when it comes to stomps!!!! And I've had my share!!

Ok..........just took this pedal for a TEST DRIVE!

Here is my feedback.
I plugged it in and it was on when I turned the amp on.

I started to dial in my regular tone.
Didnt think much of it while dialing. I did have the gain turned down to about 5.
Got a great tone all set up.
Then I shut the PEDAL OFF.........
It was like someone put a blanket over the amp and speaker!!
I turned the pedal back on.........JUMPED TO LIFE!
Then I decided to UP THE ANTE so to speak.......
Turned the gain up to about 7 and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD TONE!!
Picture your FAVE tone from your amp.........now...AMPLIFY IT BY 300 %!!!!
My Old pedal did color my tone and I had to run the level at 100% and add some gain from the pedal to get my tone.
This pedal is ALL MY AMP TONE and just like a shot of Steroids!!
Its a simple pedal.....ON/OFF switch and a Level.
Thats all!
I cant even get back to my old settings since this pedal pushes the amp to all new LEVELS!!!
I cannot........I MEAN CANNOT describe how much power this thing pushes into my amp.
The Mark IV is now like a Mark VI!!!
Fucking unbelieveable.

The Creation Audio Labs Mk.4:23 PRO is unlike any other pedal I have used.......heard........tried or seen.
And I have been thru a ton of overdrives.

First off, AWESOME review Dan - thanks man, and I'm stoked you're so pumped on your new stomp!!

And not being a party pooper with regards to the about the Diezel, this pedal really shines in an amp that's getting its growl from something other than preamp gain staging. Don't get me wrong, it's usable across the entire spectrum, but honestly, where this pedal shines is when you have an amp running at noon (for the most part, full tilt before the tubes start really working), and then you start increasing its output via the pedal... The natural overdrive it offers an amp is outrageous. So, think of it as a pedal that can make a clean, a perfect dirty with a swirling snarl. Think of it as a pedal that'll take a bit of crunch, and turn it into an 18 wheeler of powerful ROAR... And then when you get into a crunch channel, with the amp already pushing limits, this thing come along and says "here, watch this" and SLAMS the front end of your amp into a territory you'd probably never heard before.

Ya, CAL has made a surprisingly amazing pedal with the Pro - I am sure the classic is good too, but knowing I've got the extra horsepower makes it that much more potent and desirable. And hey, Dan - what about how NOISY it is eh?? Don't ya just HATE that hiss????
