Anyone who has VH4 with cpigs? Man, the most dark & evil sound you can imagine. Death metal guys should be all over this setup. I've uploaded something really meaningless & short I recorded while I was messing with it.

I've got ceramic miracleman.
How is wpig bottm end: tight or boomy/loose?
Major differences between the ceramic and the alnico version?

It's hard to hear what it sounds like with that riff you recorded. Maybe try letting some of the chords actually ring out a little? Maybe something with a little melody rather than just rhythm. Sounds good, I guess, from what I can hear, though.

Yea, I wasn't really recording anything, I just wanted to test how that sound would glue with drums & bounced the peace out. I'll probably do something that makes more sense in the future, but it was horrifying in the room.

Never had alnico, so don't know. The bottom end? Well, it's really, really huge, for that amount of low end I'd say it's as tight as it gets. I've never had a mm, so what I'm about to say is like talking out of my ass, but if the mm was compared to my cbomb correctly, then there is a huge difference between the mm & warpig. Warpig is like shitload of low end & low mids & just enough of everything else so you can distinguish what is being played. I've tried with a Marshall & it can be used for more or less regular metal sound with it, with VH4 it's strait up death metal territory.

a friend of mine that had the c-pig, painkiller and miracle man in two dean mustaines said that the main difference was the palm muted picking response
he used to say something like:
miracle man does *thump thump*
painkiler does *chank chank*
ceramic warpig does *krown krown*

I agree, let the chords ring some. Sounds pretty killer.. You should invest in some tighter drum sounds too. google: Steven Slate.

i have alnico pigs. Dont dig them with the herbert, they just dont match well with this amp(for me). I do have them for sale, had them in the guitar for the shortest time possible. The guitar was a V model with an alder body and it was neck through. I eq'd the amp to find the right spot but it just didnt do it for me. Its just a shame i couldnt test the pickups before buying them. I do wonder how a set of BKP miracleman would sound.

I like cbombs with Herbert, although in alder body the low end is a little overwhelming (with 11s). I also hate how the cbombs sound with the VH4, but it's too early to nail the coffin yet. I'd like to know how MMs sound in alder too, I can tell you alder has been the best wood for EMGs, so MMs make sense.

Honestly one of the best guitar sounds you've gotten! I just might have to get a cpig for the bridge of one my my Washburns now!

Thansk dude!

I can't wait to hear my Painkillers through the V and the TJ... Should be awesome

Not to mention, burnt chrome covers on the DBSB NT-II, just a LITTLE curb appeal, ahem...

Thanks & sorry if I wasn't clear on my post. I would recommend a ceramic warpig with the VH4 for really heavy tone, but forget about versatility with this pickup. Also if you have a different amp, please don't go out & buy a warpig based on my clip. There is a reason I do so many clips with different guitar/pickup/amps, because the best guitar/pickup combination for one amp can be the worst for another, I don't even wanna get into string gauges & tunnings, which can sometimes change a shit sound into a jaw dropping sound. If I had to recommend one pickup that works fairly well with every amp, I'd go with a JB.

Looking forward to see your findings about that setup. Some pics would be nice too. And please make a VH4/Uber clip or video, I've missed having that setup!
